PuzzleManiak: It’s demoniak

I worked on a really often asked feature for this release: the Zoom feature.
Now, you’ll be able to zoom and thus to play larger grids.













The Lite version includes only the level “20×202, 15 mines” to show the zoom feature.

This version should arrive end of next week, please be patient.

The zoom feature will be added to all games that need it, don’t worry about that.

NetManiak has been updated to version 1.3 (obviously it’s a free update) with several changes concerning mainly the user interface. A Lite version (free) has been published too, so that players can discover the game and might be interested by buying the game to access all the features of the $.99 version. Version 1.4 should include a zoom and bigger levels…

Now that the Web Challenges are played by a lot of people everyday, some statistics are required. Thus, I’ve implemented 3 new features on the Web Challenges web pages:

• Each day 30 points are given to the 1st player, 29 points to the 2nd one, 28 points to the 3rd one … until 1 point for the 30th one. And a ranking is computed on the last 10 days.
  
  This global ranking is displayed on every Web Challenge pages.
  
• You can get all your Web Challenge rankings in one place!!!
  
  On this page just enter your NickName and you’ll get all your rankings. Marvellous, isn’t it?
  
  
• In all the Web Challenge page, you can now click on the nicknames to get a chart of your performances during the last 10 days. Test this feature on my performances on LightUp for instance…

I’m thinking about developing a (free) application that would display your own statistics in the different Web Challenges. As it’s not easy for now, from the iPhone/iPod Touch, to check our results on the different web challenge games, on different dates, I’m planning to develop an application dedicated to that. So, I need your inputs to know what you would like to have on this application.

GalaxiesManiak is the Galaxies (aka ‘Spiral Galaxies’) logic puzzle invented by Nikoli (under the name ‘Tentai Show’) where you’ve to draw bold lines on the dotted lines to divide the board into blocks. Each block contains exactly one white circle. The blocks must be symetrical with the star in the point of symetry.

During the last 3 days, there were a lot of news here. First, you may have seen that (else, change your glasses…), I found a cool iPhone template for the website provided by iPhoneFan. I hope you like it. Then, almost all my games have appeared on the AppStore (only GalaxiesManiak has not been approved because of an issue during the upload process). See the Welcome page for details about all the games. Then, NetManiak has been updated to version 1.2, that fixes the gameplay speed problem. Please tell me if it’s better now. I plan to work on adding rules & explanations for all the games on the website this week. For now, only 11 games have their rules, please be patient. Finally, I would like to thank you all for supporting me by writing positive reviews on the AppStore, that helps me a lot. Alx

RectanglesManiak is a logic puzzle invented by Nikoli (under the name ‘Shikaku’). This game is also know as ‘Divide by Squares’ or ‘Divide by Box’. This game is played on a grid in which some of the squares are numbered. The objective is to divide the grid into rectangular and square pieces such that each piece contains exactly one number, and that number represents the area of the rectangle.
